LMFAO BREAK DIGITAL SONG SALES RECORD WITH SMASH HIT “PARTY ROCK ANTHEM”

610,000 DOWNLOADS SOLD TO DATE AND COUNTING

(13 January 2012 – Toronto, ON.) – Party rock duo LMFAO has sold 13,000 downloads of their smash hit, “Party Rock Anthem” this week on the Digital Songs chart. This pushes the release-to-date total sales to 610,000, surpassing the Black Eyed Peas’, “I Gotta Feeling” as the biggest selling digital song of all time (Nielsen SoundScan).

LMFAO's "Sexy And I Know It" remains the current #1 song on the Digital Songs chart for the third straight week and 7th week overall. LMFAO’s album ‘Sorry For Party Rocking” is 2 x platinum, selling more than 230,000 copies to date.

Last month, LMFAO had to postpone three dates of their sold out Cherrytree Pop Alternative Canadian Tour due to a back injury sustained by Sky Blu. The Canadian dates have been rescheduled for:

February 6 – Edmonton – Rexall Place February 7 – Calgary – Scotiabank Saddledome February 9 – Vancouver – Pacific Coliseum
